COMMUNITREE FESTIVAL
COMMUNITREE FESTIVAL PUTS THE CULTURE BACK IN AGRICULTURE:
![]() |
On behalf of the CommuniTree Movement(www.communitreemovement.org), we would like to thank the artists, activist,
farmers, and visionaries, that came together for a groundbreaking festival. We are exicted to support the vision of
Art in Action (www.artinactionworld.org) creating a Green Media Center in Oakland for the Turf Unity Project.
Over five-hundred people participated, we raised over a thousand dollars, conducted over ten service projects in over
three days, and we have created awareness about solutions to some of the key issues of our times.
Together we planted a seed of hope for Art in Action and the community at large. The impact of this manifestation is
now rippling out to a diverse network of individuals and organizations spearheading the fertile convergence of
arts, ecology, and healing. From service events with youth and elders working the land, to powerful panel dialogues
and performances, we have all been a witness to a movement that honors the Earth and its people.
